About the Project
On hot days, some areas feel hotter than others - especially areas with few trees or large amounts of paved area. Residents in these communities are more exposed to extreme heat that can impact human health. To manage stormwater runoff and reduce heat in these areas, we are installing planted green stormwater infrastructure in four heat sensitive neighborhoods in Raleigh. Construction is expected to begin in early 2025.
