The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department invites you to share your thoughts and ideas during the Fisher Street Park planning process. As part of the overall East College Park development and in cooperation with the City of Raleigh Housing and Neighborhood Department, the existing Fisher Street Park, located at 328 North Fisher Street, is planned to be relocated to a new parcel at the corner of North Fisher and Pender Streets, approximately one block away.
In the map below, the existing location of Fisher Street Park is shown in BLUE; the new Fisher Street Park location is shown in GREEN; and John Stokes Garden is shown in YELLOW.
While the existing park has a small playground and basketball court, the design, amenities, and features of the new park location is in the hands of the community! Do you have any ideas about the design of the relocated Fisher Street Park? Tell us about it! This could be a great feature from a park you’ve been in locally or saw in another city. Or it could be something you’ve always wanted to see but can’t find at other parks in our area.
Your thoughts regarding the plan for Fisher Street Park are very important to our effort to ensure the long-range vision for the park that meets the needs of the community. The input received will be used in future public meeting discussions and will help form the foundation for our planning process.
