Equitable Development Around Transit
The Equitable Development Around Transit process has focused on planning for housing and other land uses around bus rapid transit (BRT). Plan participants indicated overwhelmingly that the city should grow in a more sustainable and transit-oriented way and that ensuring that benefits of transit are shared equitably is crucial. The Equitable Transit-Oriented Development Guidebook provides strategies for achieving both of those goals, with a focus on housing affordability, walkability, and allowing more housing and employment options near BRT stations.
