Upcoming Engagement

Come join Raleigh Parks on Saturday, July 18, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and let us know what you think about the new proposed plan for Biltmore Hills Park. Tell us how you would make the park and the new park land off Cross Link Road better for everyone to enjoy. We’ll be outside between the pool and playground, with popcorn, snow cones, and games (while supplies last!). A cooled indoor area will also be open for more information and conversations with staff. Accommodations and interpretation services are available upon request. Please contact biltmorehillsupdate@publicinput.com.

The Biltmore Hills Park Master Plan Update will align near-term renovations funded through the 2022 Parks Bond with a long-term vision that reflects community priorities and citywide goals for health, sustainability, and environmental resilience.

Engagement will occur across four phases—Site Analysis & Initial Input, Design Alternatives, Draft Master Plan Review, and Approval—using a mix of public open houses, focus groups, event outreach, and online surveys to ensure broad participation.

The process will build on the park’s historic role as a gathering place for Southeast Raleigh and strengthen its connection to nearby parks such as Walnut Creek Wetland Park and Barwell Road Park, creating a more connected and resilient park network for the community.

View the Situation Assessment Report here.

A Situation Assessment is an analysis of the local context around a project, helping Raleigh Parks staff determine the best way to effectively engage the community in a collaborative process. It identifies key stakeholders, issues, and opportunities that will shape the planning process, ensuring the master plan reflects both community priorities and citywide goals.
