Forestville Road Park - Concept Design - Community Support Survey
Forestville Road Park - Concept Design - Community Support Survey
Every Raleigh resident deserves a neighborhood park! To help meet this goal, the City of Raleigh is planning to build a new ~26-acre park in your community at 4909 Forestville Road.
We would like to know your level of support for the park's concept plan! Please give us 1-5 minutes of your time to let us know if the Forestville Road Park serves you! This survey will be live from September 22, 2025 to October 6, 2025.
About the Project:
- The natural features of this future park site include a stream, granite rock outcrops, and extensive tree canopy with old-growth pecan and fruit trees. There is also a rustic cabin on site, first built by hand over 100 years ago.
- Members of your community have identified 4 primary design goals for the park: Conserve Nature, Foster Community, Honor History, and Inspire Play.
- The City of Raleigh deeply appreciates the contributions of the public in this design process! Community input was received from direct communications, public meetings, Community Advisory Group (CAG) meetings, and public input surveys directed the design considerations, including the preferred amenities, layout of the park, and access to the park.
The planning process' timeline is outlined below, highlighting key community engagement touchpoints:
