LGBTQIA+ Historic Context Draft Report Survey

The Raleigh Historic Development Commission (RHDC) has received a draft report for the LGBTQIA+ Historic Context Study. The report research includes:

  • A draft historic context statement, including a general history of Raleigh’s LGBTQIA+ communities;
  • A list of 20 sites to receive more evaluation (2 sample evals are included with this draft. All 20 will be completed and included with the final report);
  • A simplified full roster of identified significant Raleigh LGBTQIA+ historic places (both existing and lost);
  • Recommendations for potential next steps and future areas of research.
