Your Street, Your Input: Glendower Road - South
Welcome! A traffic-calming project is coming to Glendower Road - South to help improve safety for everyone driving, walking, and biking in your neighborhood. Our goal is safer streets for all!
Glendower Road - South ranks within the top 20 streets in the city with documented speed and/or crash concerns. Specifically:
- Typical driving speeds are 39 MPH (Current speed limit is 25 MPH).
We are excited to hear your feedback on the design so we can make these improvements. It is important that we hear from you and your neighbors by 5 PM on September 25.
Project
Proposed Design
City staff are recommending one of two options to slow speeding on Glendower Road - South:
- Speed Humps, or;
- Speed Cushions
More information on the difference between these two options is on the next page. We propose installing speed humps or cushions every 500 feet. You may see markings that look like this along your street, which indicate the proposed locations.
