Community Design
Explore incentives to activate underutilized and vacant properties
Pursue community partnerships to pilot form-based code development strategies
Identify sites for economic development
Signage and Wayfinding
Develop site-specific interpretation methods in South Park-East Raleigh including web-based and online integration
Develop placemaking principles for landscaping, public art, and other design features
Public Spaces
Partner with the NC Department of Environmental and Natural Resources to pilot stream naturalization guidelines to enhance the image and use of the park space adjacent to Little Rock Creek
Create a park conservancy to enhance city/county collaboration as well as provide resources to this significant space
Connectivity
Address bike and pedestrian safety along the route
Study the accessibility and quality of the walking and biking experience
Enhance the Martin Luther King Jr underpass with lighting and artwork
Extend Chavis Way to the City Cemetery and include a landmark honoring John Chavis
Develop a conceptual streetscape plan for the route
