About this Park:

Neuse River Park, located at 12098 Old Falls of Neuse Road, is a 2022 Parks Bond project with dedicated funding of $11,430,000 through the construction phase of development.

The Master Plan features river access for kayaking, fishing, swimming, and wading, scenic overlooks, hiking and multi-use trails, nature play areas for kids, community lawn and pavilion, plus restrooms and expanded parking.

The project is now in the schematic design phase, where we begin turning the big-picture ideas from the master plan into a more detailed layout for the park. The primary purpose of schematic design is to refine design of the park based on detailed field survey and site analysis, refine cost estimates based on updated design, and finalize Phase One elements & funding sources (current project budget won't cover full Master Plan buildout).
