The redevelopment of Tarboro Road Park is made possible by $29.3 million from the 2022 Raleigh Parks Bond. Based on input from the public engagement process and recommendations from the Tarboro Road Park Citizens Advisory Committee, the redevelopment plan includes:
- A new, larger community center
- Site improvements such as a multi-purpose sports court, playground, plaza, and pedestrian connections to the future BRT station on East Edenton Street
- Interior upgrades to the St. Monica Teen Center
- Public art celebrating the culture and history of the surrounding neighborhood
We look forward to the public's on-going participation as we work together to shape the future of Tarboro Road Park!
