Neuse River Park Planning Process
Project Updates
Next Steps
Next, the project team will present updated cost estimates and a refined schematic design to the Community Advisory Group. The project will then advance to the Parks Committee, where elements proposed for funding through Phase One will be finalized.
Then the schematic design will be reviewed by the Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board, which will provide a recommendation to City Council.
Learn more about the proposed park elements and how the public engagement process shaped the design of the park so far.
Artist Gabriel Eng-Goetz has made updates to the public art design based on community feedback gathered earlier in 2025. Click here for more information!
